Important Update: CDA® Process Changes Effective 2/2/2026 

Beginning February 2, 2026, the Council is implementing an enhanced CDA credentialing decision process. Candidates must now upload their CDA Professional Portfolio to their application in YourCouncil. Please note: This change is not reflected in the current CDA Competency Standards books. For more information on the process please click here.

A partir del 2 de febrero de 2026, el Concilio implementará un proceso mejorado para la toma de decisiones sobre la credencial CDA. Ahora, los candidatos deberán cargar/subir su Portafolio Profesional CDA a la hora de completar su solicitud en línea en YourCouncil.     Customer Responsibilities

    Customers are responsible for providing accurate and up-to-date shipping information at the time of purchase. Address changes or order updates must be requested within 24 hours of placing the order. After this time, orders may already be processed or shipped and cannot be modified through the Council. See Reshipment Policy below for more information.

    Returns & Exchanges

    Damaged Books: Returns of damaged books must be made within 30 days of the purchase date listed on the receipt. If the customer receives damaged publications or merchandise, the customer is responsible for sending a picture of the damaged purchase(s) to cdafeedback@cdacouncil.org. All returns must be authorized by the Council Store manager, who will provide return instructions once approved.

    Exchanges: Exchanges will only be processed for customers who received incorrect items. Requests must be made within 30 days of the purchase date listed on the receipt. Each request will be reviewed by the store manager. Once validated, the correct item will be shipped at no additional cost.

    Orders Not Received: If orders are not received within 15 business days, please call (800) 424-4310.

    Refunds

    Refunds are subject to approval by the Council Store manager and are generally only issued for damaged books or merchandise purchased through the Council Store. Requests must be made within 30 days of the purchase date listed on the receipt. Once approved, the Council will provide a shipping label for returning the item(s), and a refund will be issued upon receipt. Shipping and handling charges are not refundable.

    If the purchase cannot be verified, the customer must provide proof of purchase.

    Reshipment Policy

    Customers must provide accurate and current billing and shipping information at the time of purchase. Requests to change an address or modify an order must be submitted within 24 hours of order placement and are not guaranteed. After this period, changes cannot be made, and the customer may need to place a new order. Refunds will not be issued in these cases.

    The Council is not responsible for orders shipped to incorrect or outdated addresses provided by the customer.
